Here are some suggestions on how to progress and organise yourself during the first-year. Usually, we give these guidelines to the research students at the beginning of the first year. Most of the guidelines are self-explanatory, however if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your supervisor.

- Attend, if at all possible, information retrieval seminars (Mondays 3pm) and team meetings (Thursdays 1pm). Let your supervisor know if you cannot make it.

- It is expected that all PhD students attend the Information Retrieval Seminars (Mondays 3pm) and Team Meetings (Thursdays 1pm, not every week). Notifications for these events can be found via mail and on the Teams general channel. You should send you apologies in reply to the associated teams message if you will not make one of these events.
